For some context, there are three One Series eras based on drafts. The Original Draft Era, which spans from 2011 to 2014. The Second Draft Era spans from 2017 to 2023. And the Final Version Era, originally called the Amazon Era, starting in 2020 and onward. This version is the published version.
Real Life Lore
(Second Draft Era of “Secret Obsessions”)
During the Second Draft Era, I decided to have UTurn release a song for the UK. Inspired by an unreleased A-Teens song, I wrote and produced Ready or Not. It went through two production changes.
The first version is live on SoundCloud with my voice as a demo. When it was time to work on UTurn’s Debut Era, I wanted to redo the production. The lyrics stayed the same, but the production was completely different. Now it’s better and more pop.
The One Series Lore
In Secret Obsession, UTurn releases Ready or Not in the UK. Written by Alyson and Andrew, this pop tune is a UTurn boasting song, letting the world know they’re going to rock the world with their presence. Their British debut peaked in the top 20.
As part of their British debut, they opened for a British pop group Connect8, a pop group that Alyson was a fangirl for. They toured across the UK, and it went well.
